Dear friends,    RAISING FUNDS CAMPAIGN

The Rotary Club Cachoeira/São Félix is accomplishing this campaign to raise funds for the restoration and requalification of the spaces of its building whose property is in a state of visible ruin. The spaces will be reclassified to house the Rotary Educational Center, a Social Dental Clinic, and a Cultural Center for teenagers’ artistic production exhibition. There will be a space where modern office equipments will be installed, whose environment will also serve to create projects destined to young people’s protection and re-education, those who are in social fragility, victims of drugs’ using trafficking, seeking the rehabilitation of all, reinserting them in the organized social and school segments, with which all may continue studying until reaching the university course. 

One of the spaces will be requalified to house Mikhal Bogdanowicz's former Café & Arts. As every one in thown knows the polish Mikhal Bogdanowicz suffered an CVA and has become the Lar Aconchego's guest at Casa dos Velhos. Mikhal Bogdanowicz has full mastery of his mental faculties, absolutely conscious, very communicative and extroverted, is able to reassume the direction of his cultural space. The Rotary Board of Directors, through its chairman Prof. Pedro Borges has been in contact with Mikhal's family in Poland, seeking resources to reinstall his Café & Arts with a library, comfortable chairs, a snack bar, modern equipment such as computers, screens for cultural films exhibition, etc. place which will be reached through access ramps for people bearers of special needs, as Mikhal in his wheelchair.
